Hellen Bowey
Hellen is a serial entrepreneur and senior operator with more than 20 years of experience building and scaling tech-led businesses. She is the Founder and CEO of Alcove Group, a virtual care company supporting independent living and transforming care with intelligent software and services. Hellen started her career in the consumer sector, initially in the merchandising department at Adidas and then running a DTC e-commerce startup, PSX Games, during the dot com boom. Prior to founding Alcove, Hellen held leadership roles including Commercial Director at a FTSE250 highways business and various Managing Director roles. Hellen’s entrepreneurship and leadership has been recognised through more than 15 national awards, most recently Strategic Leader at the 2026 International TEC Awards.
Hellen specialises in tackling complex, real-world problems – bringing a pragmatic, systems-led approach to building profitable, scalable businesses. Alcove has supported more than 60,000 people, worked with 50+ local authorities and delivered £100m+ in public sector savings on its mission to create a better future for older and disabled adults and their carers. But Alcove is also consistently featured in the FT1000 (Europe’s Fastest Growing Companies) including in 2026.
Outside work, Hellen enjoys snowboarding in the Alps (badly, she says!), attempting to learn French at her villa in the South of France and relaxing with books, comedy and dinner with friends. She never misses a Wordle.
